Comprehensive Approach to the Problem of Adolescent Pregnancy. A General Survey of the Literature

This bibliography of literature and information sources concerning adolescent pregnancy contains approximately 500 entries, including books, journal articles, newspaper articles, journals and newspapers, and reports published between 1960 and 1973. The purpose of this bibliography is to provide a list of publications useful in understanding the scope and ramifications of adolescent pregnancy for program administrators, teachers, doctors, social workers, and others. It may be used as an aid for organizing and developing the essential component services for comprehensive programs for school - age parents. The material is divided into nine categories: (1) definition of the problem; (2) description of existing programs and services; (3) health, nursing, and medical considerations; (4) psychology, psychiatry, and social services; (5) educational policies and programs; (6) prevention through sex education, contraception, and family planning; (7) young marriages; (8) adolescent sexuality; and (9) family considerations (i.e., the unmarried mother and father, family relationships, and child placement).
