Proposal for Analysis of HTGR Core Response to Seismic Input

The scaling laws that govern the physical modeling of a high temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) core are formulated and methods for step-by-step development and verification of both physical and analytical models are dis¬cussed. The analytical method is shown to be feasible and some one-dimen¬sional results for a simple parameter study in problems involving impacting blocks are given.
