Preliminary Report Study of Fast Fteacto Safety Test Facilities

摘要

In this report consideration is given to the level of understanding of postulated CDAs and to the role which new in-pile safety test facilities should play in improving this understanding. We wish to emphasize however, that in-pile safety testing must be accompanied by a vigorous program of out-of-pile experiments which are designed to investigate basic phenomena believed to be important in accident situations, together with a program of theoretical analy¬sis to interpret the experimental findings and to incorporate their under¬standing with general scientific knowledge in computer programs for accident analysis.
