Beam Shaping and Propagation Study for the Kilojoule Laser System.

摘要

The radial energy density profile of a laser beam that is to be injected into the kilojoule laser system must be such that diffraction effects,which may lead to self-focusing,are minimized while at the same time energy extraction is maximized. Although the two effects are interrelated they are discussed separately for the sake of clarity.
