摘要

This report summarizes briefly results of preliminary experiments concerned with evaluation of the dose-effect relationships for the immune response to biologically active agents associated with coal gasification and oil shale technologies. Initial program emphasis has been to develop quantitative immunological assays through the utilization of sophisticated cell-analysis and sorting instrumentation developed at this Laboratory. This report explains rapid techniques for measuring lymphocyte stimulation without radioisotopes, identification and separation of peripheral blood monocytes, and new techniques for identifying monocytes and lymphoid cell types.
