The research described in this volume was conducted primarily in the Biology Department, PNL, with contributions from the Physics and Instrumentation, Radiological Sciences, and Systems Departments.nReports on individual programs are grouped according to ERDA 189 projects. Each section is introduced by a "blue sheet" which summarizes the scope, objectives, and present status of the project. In addition to the normal DBER projects, five sec¬tions are devoted to projects covered by EPA "Pass Through" funds.
