摘要

The purpose of this study was to design Yagi antennas meeting the design criteria. The study consisted of numerical calculations made with the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory SWANT computer code. The code was modified to include a gain calculation,to incorporate normalized field-pattern calculations,and to output the plots and summaries presented in the 62figures at the end of the report. These antennas were designed for the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for use in its Doppler backscatter radar system that monitors the near-coastline ocean surface currents.
