摘要

An industrial data base on energy use patterns and waste heat profiles has been developed. Much of this information is new, particularly in the area of waste energy and temperature levels.nThe initial phase has demonstrated the methodology to obtain detailed industrial energy data.nTwo-digit SIC Industry/Energy-Recovery Technology matrices have been developed which describe maximum conservation potential and payback periods.nThe information developed at this point in this study clearly bound the problems of Technology and Energy Conservation.nThe six largest energy consuming industries - Petroleum;Chemicals;Primary Metals;Stone, Clay and Glass;Paper and Pulp;and Food - represent the six largest 2-digit SIC industries for maximum potential energy recovery.
