A TWO-DIMENSIONAL VISCOELASTIC MODEL FOR USE IN FINITE DIFFERENCE CALCULATIONS

摘要

A general phenomenological model is developed to describe rate-dependent behavior in multi-dimensional strain. It is applied to the specific problem of two-dimensional viscoelasticity. Results are compared to one-dimensional calculations and to two-dimensional experiments. Calculations are also done for the problems of applied pressures at the surfaces of cylindrical and spherical cavities in viscoelastic media.
