In a previous paper, it was demonstrated that the conventional way of constructing the fictitious Lagrangian (i.e. the gauge compensating terms) in the usual formalism for non-Abelian gauge theories sometimes introduces redundant fictitious fields. Specifically, the massless Yang-Mills theory and the Lagrangian L03 with O(3) symmetry were considered. In both cases bilinear gauge conditions were used and the result was that the usual formalism of gauge theories leads to two massless scalar-fermions with complicated interactions which are not necessary for unitarity and gauge invariance.
