Future Patterns of Energy Utilization

摘要

Further economic and social development in developed and developing countries will require increased levels of energy services and energy-intensive goods. The level and forms of energy required to deliver these services is dependent on the structure of the economy, future lifestyles, and new technological developments. These relationships are explored, and estimates of future world energy demands to the year 2000 are surveyed. Specific attention is directed at the patterns of energy utilization considering the unique requirements for specific fuels and electric power in the household, industry, and transportation sectors. Resource production levels are estimated corresponding to the patterns of utilization. (ERA citation 03:006975)
