The purpose of this study is to determine the most desirable method of serving the energy needs of a commercial development to be constructed in Pasadena, California.nThe factors that determine maximum desirability consist of the following:n1. Maximum economic benefit to the energy user and to the surrounding community.n2. Minimum usage of energy by both the energy user and the surrounding community.n3. Minimum introduction of pollutants into the community.nThe methods studied were the Total Integrated Energy System (TIES) con-cept in several configurations.
