Dryout and Post Dryout Heat Transfer at Low Flow in a Single Tube Test Section

A series of tests have been carried out on the High Pressure Rig at Winfrith on a single tube test section at flow rates and pressures relevant to boiling water reactors under fault conditions. The purpose of the tests was to investigate the onset of dryout and post-dryout heat transfer, the experimental results being compared with existing models to prove their validity at low flows and pressures.
