Monopole transitions from the 0 exp +1 ground states to 0 exp +2 excited states at 3.353 MeV ( exp 40 Ca), 1.837 MeV ( exp 42 Ca), 1.884 MeV ( exp 44 Ca) and 4.272 Mev ( exp 48 Ca) have been investigated with high-resolution inelastic electron scattering (FWHM approximately equal to 30 keV) at low momentum transfer (0.29 fm exp -1
