A computer-controlled relay matrix for switching analog signal lines has been installed in the test data processing facility. This relay matrix, which replaces the existing analog switching system, offers increased re¬liability, manual override capabilities for relay selection, a visual display of the matrix interconnection status, and one-third more data lines available as inputs to the computer. Its most significant feature is the modular con¬struction of the relay units. This construction allows interchangeability of the units should a failure occur and makes field repairs of the reed relays feasible.
