Eighth Quarterly Technical Progress Report for Project Entitled Establishment of an Industry-Driven Consortium Focused on Improving the Production Performance of Domestic Stripper Wells. Report for February 1, 2006 to April 30, 2006

The Pennsylvania State University, under contract to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) established a national industrydriven Stripper Well Consortium (SWC) that is focused on improving the production performance of domestic petroleum and/or natural gas stripper wells. The consortium creates a partnership with the U.S. petroleum and natural gas industries and trade associations, state funding agencies, academia, and the National Energy Technology Laboratory. This report serves as the eighth quarterly technical progress report for the SWC. Key activities for this reporting period include: Organize and host the 2006 Spring Meeting in State College, PA to review and select projects for SWC co-funding; Participation in the 2006 PA CleanEnergy Expo Energy Theatre to air the DVD on Independent Oil: Rediscovering Americans Forgotten Wells; New member additions; Improving communications; and Planning of the fall technology meetings.
