摘要

The most likely candidates for reversible oxygen electrodes, which are essential for the development of highly efficient regenerative fuel cells and secondary metal-air batteries, are mixed oxides. The mixed oxides NiCo204 and Ru02/Ti02, with a spinel structure and prepared by the thermal decomposition method on a metallic substrate, exhibit high electrocatalytic activities for oxygen evolution but not for oxygen reduction. The results also indicated the instability of the oxides in the region of potential for oxygen reduction.
