CASE STUDY APPLICATION OF THE GUIDEBOOK ON INTEGRATED COMMUNITY ENERGY SYSTEMS:INDIRECT ECONOMIC AND ENERGY IMPACTS

The analytical method to estimate energy resources needed to satisfy final demands includes five steps. They begin in Step 1 with definition of the expected kinds and quantities of energy demand (which may be obtained from direct analysis) and then proceed in Step 2 to description of process series forming energy supply. The third step is to derive an energy balance for each process in the series. The balances are combined in Step 4 to determine supply system summaries, and in the final step supply are matched to demand so that the resource requirements for a complete energy system can be obtained.
