ANOMALOUS PLASMA RESISTIVITY IN PRE-PULSED FLASH LAMP DISCHARGES

It is shown that the V-i characteristic of discharges in flashlamps operating in the pre-pulsed mode at high current densities follows the relationship V= K sub 0 i sup(0,85). This result is interpreted in terms of the Sagdeev-Galeev anomalous resistivity due to current-driven ion acoustic turbulence. (Atomindex citation 10:431542)
