Negative Ion Based Neutral Beams for Plasma Heating

Neutral beam systems based on negative ions have been considered because of a high expected power efficiency. Methods for the production, acceleration and neutralization of negative ions will be reviewed and possibilities for an application in neutral beam lines explored. (ERA citation 04:028538)
