Reference Facility Description for the Recovery of Iodine,Carbon,and Krypton from Gaseous Wastes.

An integrated off-gas treatment facility for the recovery of exp 129 I,exp 14 C and exp 85Kr from the dissolver off-gas of a light water reactor nuclear fuel reprocessing plant is described. The design is based on the best available technologies. Material balance and flow diagrams for the Iodine,Carbon and Krypton Recovery Systems are given. The design criteria for a Krypton Storage Facility and an Integrated Off-Gas Treatment Building are presented. All criteria are scaled to a 2000metric ton/year reprocessing plant.
