This report presents a mathematical model of the general m-phase ICB*. The analysis is useful for gaining insight in the behavior of the ICB and the significance of the parameters involved. It is also useful as a tool for the design of ICB systems. Furthermore, the equations presented can be used to represent the ICB in a closed loop control system with the output being the load quantity of interest.
