A REPORT EXPLORING THE DIFFERENCES AND SIMILARITIES IN APPROACH, AND RESULTS OF DOCUMENTS CONCERNED WITH ENERGY CONSERVATION IN EXISTING DWELLING UNITS

This study involved a thorough evaluation of the state-of-the-art in home weatherization. It included a literature study followed by a care full evaluation of the methods and tactics found. The intent was to find the most cost-effective tactics and then to provide a methodology which could be used for selecting those most appropriate for a given house. The Project Retro-Tech manuals were used as the basic skeleton on which to build, although changes in both methodology and tactics are recommended.
