Realistic analysis of future energy systems is a difficult,but crucial,component of assuring future energy supplies. The procedure proposed in this paper is a dynamic,net energy assessment that is a resource-based method for evaluating future energy systems. The model is system,site,and application specific and is equally applicable to general system characterizations and specific designs. The implications of possible resource and societal constraints on energy development are investigated. (ERA citation 02:051973)
