Evidence for New Meson Resonances from the Reaction Anti Pp Implies exp - K exp +

The differential cross-sections for anti p p implies K exp - K exp + provide new evidence for mesons with masses between 2.1 and 2.5 GeV/c exp 2 . The zeros of the cross-sections suggest the existence of J/sup P/ = 3 exp - states with both I = 1 and I = 0 at masses between 2.1 and 2.18 GeV/c exp 2 . The results also support a J/sup P/ = 4 exp + state near 2.34 GeV and are consistent with 5 exp - states in both I = 1 and I = 0 close to 2.5 GeV. This analysis confirms the I = 1 3 exp - , 5 exp - , and I = 0 4 exp + states seen previously in anti p p implies pi exp - pi exp + , and is in agreement with the existing data for the non-annihilation processes.
