Closed Forms for the Matrix Elements of the Quadrupole Collective Operators

Compact analytical expressions of the matrix elements for the spherical phonon operators and the elementary anharmonicities in a basis of explicit eigenfunctions of the harmonic quadrupole collective Hamiltonian are established. An algorithm for the calculation of the matrix elements of any many-phonon quadrupole operator is also presented. (Atomindex citation 11:512567)
