摘要

Interlayer spacings greater than 0.344 nm repoted for carbons are probably incorrect because of failure to correct line profiles in x-ray diffraction patterns for distortion caused by deep beam penetration and small angle scattering which overlaps Bragg reflections. In Glassy Carbon d sub 002 estimated to be 0.375 nm before corrections becomes 0.344 nm when corrections are made.
