Various estimates of the labor requirements for the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of space heating and domestic hot water systems are presented. Total projected job requirements by year, calculated by multiplying person-hours per system times market penetration estimates, are provided. Limitations of previous studies and conclusions about needed research are discussed. (ERA citation 04:025844)
