摘要

This paper describes the investigation of the anodic dissolution of calcium in aqueous solutions of sodium chloride and hydroxide.nAlthough calcium passivates in pure hydroxide solutions (>3 M), the addition of the chloride ion induces a stable active state which obeys a linear polarization law with an electrical resistivity of 30-300 ohm-mm².nOpen circuit potentials range from -3.1V (vs SCE) for dilute hydroxide/ chloride (<3 M OH, <0.1 M CI) solutions to -1:5 V near the saturation limit.nCoulombic efficiency is proportional to the hydroxide concentration, approaching 100% near the mutual solubility limit of sodium hydroxide/chloride.
