Process for Manufacturing Metal-Oxide Pellets, and Pellets Obtained by This Process

A process for manufacturing nuclear fuels is described. It consists of a chemical process of adding to an aqueous solution of at least one metal salt, specifically of actinide nitrates, one or more chemical substances capable of liberating ammonia; of dispersing the solution thus obtained dropwise in a hot organic phase to gelatinize the drops and transform them into solid particles; and of washing, drying and treating these particles in order to transform them into oxide pellets.
