This standard prescribes a method of testing for obtaining heat capacities, efficiencies, and air intake flow rates for the purpose of specifying a standard rating for wood-fired appliances with closed combus¬tion chambers.nFor the purpose of this standard, wood-fired appliances with a closed fire chamber is one that meets the following requirement:the air fuel ratio is less than 30 during the burning of 90％ or more of the fuel mass consumed in one firing cycle defined in Section 6.
