Tests at the Hanford Engineering Development Laboratory (HEDL) Large Sodium Fire Facility (LSFF) have partially characterized lithium interactions with various atmospheres, magnetite concrete, and insulating materials and have determined the lithium aerosol mass loading capacity of a commercial high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter. Additional tests are planned to further characterize lithium interactions with air (of both normal and high humidity), concretes, and insulating materials and to evaluate the capacity of additional filters and filter systems to remove lithium aerosol from air
