Transient Fuel Failure Analysis for LOCA Without ECCS or GSCS Cooling

Thermal analyses of the fuel failure for a postulated LOCA without direct ECCS cooling or GSCS cooling was conducted. This analysis was made to provide the required input data to evaluate radiological consequences. Purpose of this analysis and the subsequent analysis of radiological consequences was to evaluate the need for seismic upgrading of the graphite and shield cooling systems. (ERA citation 06:002398)
