摘要

The structure of an amorphous alloy of the composition Fe sub 40 Ni sub 38 Mo sub 4 B sub 18 either in the untreated fabricated state, or after various thermal treatments, or after irradiation with heavy ions was studied. The amorphous state is not modified by heat treatments at temperatures below 300 exp 0 C. After several hours at 350 exp 0 C, crystallization begins by forming crystals of an FeNi-base solid solution. The crystallization is complete after a two-hour treatment at 500 exp 0 C. This alloy, bombarded with 500-keV Ni exp + ions, proved to be practically insensitive to irradiation at the ambient temperature at high doses (6 x 10 exp 16 ions/cm exp 2 , i.e., approximately 100 dpa). A 100 to 150 exp 0 C lowering of the crystallization temperature was observed under irradiation. (ERA citation 05:005997)
