摘要

Earthquakes and postulated pipe breaks in a nuclear reactor coolant system would result in external forces on the reactor fuel system. The effects of these applied forces on fuel system coolability must be assessed to insure reactor safety and hence a fuel assembly acceptance criteria must be developed to allow for this assessment. Spacer grid deformation data, analytical and experimental results, various analytical techniques, and several loading combination procedures have been reviewed resulting in recommendations toward formulation of acceptance criteria for safe-shutdown earthquake and the subcooled blowdown phase of a postulated loss-of-coolant accident applied loadings.
