Use of Short-Term Tests for Mutagenicity and Unscheduled DNA Synthesis in Intact Mammals

In vivo test systems were developed that are relatively rapid and give quantitative data with relatively few animals and retain many of the advantages of testing in intact animals. The use of the test for unscheduled DNA synthesis in male germ cells of mice is described. (ERA citation 04:041758)
