The results of research and the effect of the ionic composition of water and the resistance of aluminum to corrosion are presented. It was found that the concentration of HCO sub 3 ions and the temperature mainly determine the aggressiveness of water with respect to aluminum. 8 tables. (ERA citation 08:023989)
