PROCESS DESIGNS AND COST ESTIMATES FOR A MEDIUM BTU GASIFICATION PLANT USING A WOOD FEEDSTOCK

摘要

A gasification plant to effect the conversion of wood to medium-Btu gas has been designed. The Purox gasifier and associated equipment were selected as a prototype, since this system is nearer to commercialization than others considered. The object of the study was to determine the cost of those processing steps common to all gasification schemes and to identify specific research areas.
