摘要

During loss-of-coolant-flow accidents in liquid metal cooled fast breeder reactors with failure to scram, the fuel claddings will melt after boiling and evaporation of the coolant. The CMOT model presented in this publication describes the subsequent process of relocation and resolidification of the molten claddings. The basic thermohydrodynamic equations of the two-phase flow of cladding material and sodium vapor are solved numerically by differential approximations in a Eulerian reference net.
