Soil Fertility and Soil Loss Constraints on Crop Residue Removal for Energy Production

摘要

A summary of the methodologies used to estimate the soil fertility and soil loss constraints on crop residue removal for energy production is presented. Estimates of excess residue are developed for wheat in north-central Oklahoma and for corn and soybeans in central Iowa. These sample farming situations are analyzed in other research in the Analysis Division of the Solar Energy Research Institute. (ERA citation 04:056250)
