Determination, by X-Ray-Fluorescence Spectrometry, of Gold, Silver, and Base Metals on Activated Carbon

The method proposed involves ashing of the sample at a low temperature in a muffle furnace, mixing of the ash with alumina and boric acid in a Siebtechnik mill, and briquetting of the mixture. The elements are measured in the briquette by the use of x-ray fluorescence spectrometry. The detailed laboratory method is given in an appendix. (Atomindex citation 12:587392)
