A Type I Laboratory Evaluation of a sample of pelletized Kerr McGee Ash Concentrate from Kentucky No. 9 coal was completed at Texaco's Montebello Research Laboratory. This material is a suitable feedstock for the Texaco Coal Gasification Process. It may be fed to the gasifier as a water slurry with a solids concentration greater than 60 (wt) percent. At 1200 psig, 1500 pounds per hour of ash concentrate are estimated to yield about 44,000 standard cubic feet per hour of hydrogen plus carbon monoxide. (ERA citation 05:031469)
