Photoionization Detector for the Detection of Xenon Light

摘要

A photionization detector is described with a high quantum efficiency at wavelengths shorter than about 2000 A. This instrument, coupled to a xenon gas scintillation proportional counter has an energy resolution of 9.5% FWHM at 6 keV. The vapor pressure and absorption coefficient of TMAE are measured and the prospects of an imaging gas scintillation proportional counter are discussed. (ERA citation 06:002789)
