We present a numerical algorithm based on finite Fourier-Chebyshev transforms for solving the total reflux, thermal-drive centrifuge problem. The method should be capable of providing steady-state solutions with excellent resolution in a few minutes of computer time. The same technique may be easily applied to other problems, including the isotope diffusion equation. A simple diffusion equation is solved to show certain aspects of the numerical method, in particular, its excellent convergence properties. (ERA citation 05:018432)
