Energy Savings in Paper Making by Means of Increased Water Removal in the Press-Section. Final Report

摘要

Research on the pressing process in the manufacture of paper and board in order to decrease the amount of water that has to be removed by means of evaporation, which is a much more energy consuming process, is described. The first phase of the project was comprised of a theoretical analysis of the processes taking place in a press and development of an experimental technique for determination of the material properties which exert an influence upon these processes.
