Mobile Wood Chippers: A Collection of Data on Currently Available Chippers in US and Abroad

摘要

A discussion of the availability and design of mobile chippers which can be used in or near forests is presented. These chippers may be located at the mill, at the landing when logs or whole trees are skidded from the stump, or near the stump. There are a number of chippers commercially available for the first 2 options but only 2 concepts have been developed for option 3. Chippers have been separated into 6 classes. Photographs and specifications of chippers of each class are presented. (ERA citation 06:008745)
