The work was performed by a team headed by TRW. TRW was responsible for project management and overall system design and integration. Mechani¬cal design and fabrication of the heat exchangers was performed by South¬western Engineering Company (SEC). Additional support was provided by C F Braun in condenser design and drawing review. The evaporator thermal design was based on experiments conducted by Union Carbide Corporation, Linde Division, on single tube heat transfer and vapor velocity effects, and on UCC/Linde's design tradeoff studies.nThe work in this contract was performed in four phases: Conceptual and Preliminary Design, Detail Design, Fabrication, and Installation and Test Support. This report documents the design which took place during the third and fourth phases.
