Water-Cooled Gas Turbine Development Program Volume 2

This is the final report of the EPRI Water-Cooled Gas Turbine Development Program, RP234. The program was initiated in 1974 to establish the viability of water cooling as a means of achieving higher firing temperatures and increased fuels flexibility in utility gas turbines. The initial phase of this program established that water cooling was indeed a viable concept and that it could result in considerable improvements in gas turbine combined-cycle efficiency at increased firing temperatures.
