摘要

The peak count rate H of 2 gamma -angular correlation of the positron annihilation radiation was used to study the micellization of sodium dodecylsulfate (NaLS) in aqueous solutions both in the absence and in the presence of protein. It is evident from the results obtained that sharp changes in the annihilation characteristics are induced by micellization. These changes are due to reactions of positrons or hot positronium, rather than to the capture of trace electrons by micellar systems. The addition of small amounts of protein (1 wt %) to the aqueous solution shifts the critical micelle concentration of NaLS toward smaller values. (Atomindex citation 12:619954)
