Traditional and Non-Traditional Community Mental Health Services with American Indians

The articles included in the study reflect Indian concerns in the provision of mental health services. The first of four sections reviews social work services in American Indian urban communities. The second section discusses social work practice in cultural settings other than by university trained human service personnel. Section three examines health and mental health services with American Indians. Its three articles are a combination of allopathic and naturophathic perspectives. The fourth section studies social work and mental health services on reservations.
